me: Apparently my limey whispering works even in loud ass Atlanta nightclubs. I just made friends with a DJ Fade, a guy from Manchester at the Above & Beyond show. Only I would find a Mancunian DJ in an Atlanta nightclub. I mean, one not spinning, but one that was an audience member!
jsp1611: Haha. Well, the English love Angophiles. There are so few of them, you see. It's like finding a unicorn.
me: Yeah, well, it's also a British thing not to admit you love the Anglophiles, and to pick on them for it. Though of course, picking on someone means you like them.
jsp1611: Yes, we're horrid like that.
me: Oh, but I'm like that, too. Though largely from British influence, I suspect. I would have never noticed this guy if he hadn't been wearing a Man Utd. jersey. So I said, "Are you from Manchester? He said yes, and I said, "Wait, wait... this means you've probably gone to the Manchester Warehouse Project events, under Piccadilly Station?" He said yes. I said "I listen to the Essential Mix every week." And that was all she wrote.
jsp1611: So what was he doing in Atlanta?
me: He lives there!
jsp1611: Aaaaah
me: But he wants out
jsp1611: oh
me: He's talking of moving to Holland in a few years. He says, "They're basically British, but they don't get excited about a hell of a lot."
jsp1611: Meh, Holland is OK
me: I hear it's boring. Apart from hot trance, I guess.
jsp1611: Yeah, I wouldn't tell the Dutch that. Bits are boring. Bits are so hedonistic that it's silly.
me: Well, at least they tend to be awfully nice to look at.
jsp1611: But they are nice people.
me: I imagine so.
[on phone]
me: I started listening to music that wasn't mainstream in 1993. Then I was heavily into Japanese media from 2000 until 2005. Now I've been following almost entirely British media for at least six years. So I'm so painfully aloof from what my own countrymen read, watch, and listen to, it's staggering.
Fade: Nothing wrong with that... apart from nobody being able to relate to you here.
me: Oh yes, there is. That means that without meaning to, I've culturally pigeonholed myself to where I can't date anybody from here! I simply don't have enough in common with anyone here to do that! A few people might think it's so cool that I can date Brits, but it's not really when you live 4,100 miles away from any of them! Not to mention, too, that if you get romantically involved with more than one, you risk someone thinking you're a Brit groupie, rather than "Well, those are the only people she has enough in common with to date."
Fade: Who cares what they think?
me: It's not about what Americans think. It's what the limeys think.
Fade: Well, who cares about what we think?
me: *laughs*

She's a Quel'fail.
Level 8 human warlock, and even glowing blue eyes wouldn't be SPESHUL ENUF, oh no, hers are VIOLET.

Don't even get me started on the fail that is a Quel'dorei Warlock.
We call those Blood Elves now.
I guess, at least, she has the right faction.
That doesn't make it any less of a failure where the character concept is concerned, however.
Additionally, the avatar had black hair.

Lesse, I've done orc, belf, nelf, more belf Sues and one human Stu. But tonight, ladies and gentlemen, I shall tear into a troll Sue for your amusement!
( And we all thought the last one was confusing... )
I hope I can stop my brain from spinning before class tomorrow. Oi.

Most people who have ever seen fire performers perform haven't the foggiest clue what the fire sounds like. Performances involve music blasting loud enough to drown the sound out. Once you've heard the fire, most likely in a "well, we have an iPod docking station over there" setting, nothing is ever the same again. The roar of it swirls and dances, and it's fierce. You try finding a video of someone spinning fire that doesn't have music slapped onto it in the editing phase. I just did.
Only fire in person is easily ten times louder than that. I have to turn my speakers all the way up to get it anywhere near the volume of fire in person. The voice of the fire gets into you further than music ever can. That is, it's music in itself.

ok, it's over, i'm quitting wow once and for all.
there's nothing left for me in both pve and pvp... i'm pretty unhappy with the game as it is, and not looking forward to icecrown.
yup, i tried to quit approx a month ago when i broke up with my bf, and since then i've only gotten myself stuck in a 25man raiding guild... wut.
i love my characters, each of them have their own personality despite me not being an RP person... and i'll miss them =D but i should've have quit when season 6 ended, like i originally planned, and i should have quit when arenas died to me.
FAREWELL! i will no longer be posting on this LJ and i will no longer be following any wow communities.

hmm looks like this saturday's raid will be canceled... we are short 1 dps + 2 healers. :x
i have a toc25 raid on my rogue tomorrow, supposed to be a 1 hour clear.
slightly annoyed my uld HMs are scattered throughout my 3 characters, i think my rogue will be the first to complete most of them. :x but they are fun to do and i wish my guild would continue with them... T_T i like running uld more than toc.....
sigh, bunch of work to do tomorrow since i haven't been productive at ALL today. :P

huh well.. ok...
last week we wiped x4 on beasts and couldn't even finish toc25, this week we one shot everything except anub due to annoying-as-hell server lag + DCs.. heck on gormak our OT dc'd and our MT ended up tanking him until 10 stacks of the debuff lol....
anyways, first time i have used a point system for loot... i ended up getting some pants (minor upgrade, from toc10 gear to toc25 gear) because i couldn't stand watching them go to DE. :/

I usually try to put the best (worst!) ones outside of the cut, but the best ones are loooonnnnngggggg, so you'll have to click to get to them!
How about we start with two half-elves?

( Long Sues are long... )
Totally unrelated to Sues: While I'm a long-time RPer, I'm semi-new to WoW still. How the heck did this happen? Is it a bug? It took place in Silvermoon and the second one is a PvP one.
((Edit: To avoid confusion, just the servers in two battlegroups are down again.))

Imagine that. Another Blood Elf that is made of some serious fail. No, this one is a prize winner, me thinks.
( Onto the Fail. )

Has this been here before? I can't recall and didn't see it.
I don't even.
I can't.
A vampire druid.
6' and 107lb isn't exactly...yeah, I don't buy "not to the point of unhealthy."
...I need to set something on fire now.
In game, of course.

bah i have to go to toc25 tonight and i'm not looking forward to it, esp not after last week's fail... and i might not even bring my priest because they are full on healers... except like half of their healers are terrible. the reason why last week was super fail was because our healers just weren't doing their jobs.
i have had lots of interest expressed for running 3s on my lock, anywhere from rls to shadowcleave to spellcleave, but no one has taken the step to actually make a team and play games... schedule conflicts ftl. i have the pts for mh/oh and i am tired of looking like a scrub because i am sporting a toc10 staff instead of the awsum relentless weapons.. :(
so i macro'd my pyro rocket to shadowburn, when they both crit on a 0 resil target, it hits for 7k instantly. :P without crits it hits for around 4k. OP!!
i didn't know engineering had so many little perks, i quite like the sp to cloak =D i also wasn't aware the nitro boost included crit.. so yeee its on my pve boots now!!

(cheers)Now I can stay up late and play with my new phone...Which came with pornographic texts.
That's right, I started my phone up, and I get 9 texts from someone out of the blue. All porn. Mom was -thrilled-. ANYWAY, There was many adventures to be had last week! Me and my buddy ventured to Moonguard, and, well, the rumours about Goldshire are true. Then, on friday, was a 'Noble's costume Ball', that my G'leader made us all attend. There was quite the interesting crowd...Including a half troll, a preist dressed as Whitemane, and SO MUCH MORE! There's also the sues that my friends send me. They find the truly great ones.
Please note, most of these are worth the read, besides the huuuuugely long one twoards the end. Also, most have names unsensored, because they're too funny to sensor.
( These are truly catastrouphic. )

ok well, i've come to the conclusion that warlocks are absolute trash in 2v2, esp when all warriors do is tunnel the pet :/ or even dks
or they can just tunnel ME and still win! :P
we have a lot of difficulties winning vs warr/healer and rogue/healer.. and you know what, thats like 75% of 2v2 right there lol
in other words, i need to find a 3s team. :/ but 2s is the easiest bracket to get 1800.

I need to be a film maker to adapt Sarah Gruen's Water for Elephants into a film so I can hire these guys and these other guys to make music for it.
But Andrew R. Tennenbaum, a co-producer of the Jason Bourne spy films, has quite possibly beat me to it, in a deal worth more than $1 million if the film is made. Yum. Come on, Mr Tennenbaum, rock the fuck out with circus power!
