So I spent way too long yesterday and today making this. It's supposed to be fairly tongue in cheek like the song, I'm not sure if people I've shown it to really get that though. :-/ Anyways I'm still amused by how it turned out. It's higher quality than my usual videos - I used CyberLink PowerDirector Express instead of Windows Movie Maker this time.
this is my first attempt at making anything like this (apart from some AMVs years ago), so it's not perfect.. there's a lot of crappy zooming due to my apparent inability to operate a scrollwheel and lots of stuff that doesn't sync up right. :P

One of the times lowbie horde attempted to gank me while I was farming Ravenholdt rep at Stromgarde. It was always rogues who tried it. :P I actually frapsed this by accident. Fraps is bound to my F9 key, which I must have inadvertantly pressed while alt tabbed. I was cleaning out my fraps folder and found this xD

What a fun, random day of WoW. :D I logged on just before midday today, and went straight to Dire Maul to farm Steamwheedle rep. Halfway through the first run, a random level 15 nelf rogue whispered me & said "Hi".
Panadoll: hello
Kered: what are you up to
Panadoll: farming rep
Kered: still doing the Insane achievement?
Panadoll: yeh.. who are you btw? lol
Kered: What's Kered backwards?
Panadoll: derek??
It was a friend I've known for several years now, who has always hated WoW with a passion. xD Apparently he has decided to play. :D He came to visit me last weekend - I hadn't seen him in ages - and I talked about WoW a lot. >< Maybe it was that. ^_^
So I stopped farming and went to run him through deadmines. Then I logged over to my rogue (Miuu, around level 17) and quested with him a bit. Was fun. :D
Thisevening I when I logged on I was invited to Ulduar sitout, so no Dire Maul runs.. and I didn't feel like farming Ravenholdt again. So I logged over to my rogue & Yuge ran me & Kered through BFD (on his dk Broodling). I'm getting sick of the rogue though. The only reason I rolled her was because, for the Insane achievement, the only way you can get from revered to exalted rep is by handing in Heavy Junkboxes, which need to be farmed by a rogue. But yeh, I'm not really enjoying questing because I've done these quests so many times before. :<
Anyways, I logged back over to Panadoll. The Ulduar raid broke up shortly after - I think it reformed a little later, but by the time it did I had already agreed to go to AQ20 with Death. She and Pelor have been farming Cenarion rep lately. AQ20 was pretty fun. :D I did very little healing, just lots of shield spamming. We decided to go to AQ40 after that, where I got a Red Qiraji Battle Tank! and Why? Because It's Red :D We didn't do much of AQ40 because we really didn't have enough people. But it was pretty fun anyway. :)
During AQ I asked my friend who was there, Tekno (80 rogue) if he would be interested in earning 1000g. I explained to him about the Ravenholdt rep.. seriously I would be willing to pay 1000g for a rogue to farm those boxes for me, it would be quicker for me to make back the money than it would be to level my own rogue to farm them. He said that because he's on his other account a lot these days, I was welcome to log onto Tekno myself and farm the boxes, and not have to spend any monies. Awesome! :D
Still later in the evening I offered to run Kered through SFK. He didn't have any flightpaths apart from Stormwind & Westfall. >< So we went on a very long adventure running from Ironforge to Silverpine Forest. I wish I had a passenger mount. :-/ SFK was pretty fun though.. I've done the instance on lowbie horde toons on other servers, ages ago, but had never done it on Panadoll. So I got an achievement for that too. :D
so tired! sleep time. :P

I spent the afternoon today doing all my dailies - been neglecting them a bit lately, as it takes me so fucking long to do the entire round of them. wtb ports between all the daily spots. >< I had all evening open after that, as I'm not raiding again til Wednesday. Seems I'm really considered a "core raider" now in the guild, though that's probably due to Delusion's lack of healers more than anything else. I'm getting heaps better at raid healing now though, cos of my recent upgrades. And I really enjoy it more than anything else in the game right now. ^_^ It's more fun than healing 5-mans by far.
Anyways, I was going to do normal Oculus with Yuge, as it's the only dungeon I haven't done yet, and once I do it I can make my awesome Wispcloak. But Yuge had problems logging on (which he sorted out later) so I mucked around with Winter Veil achievements. :D I went over to Searing Gorge to do the Metzen quest, and afterwards I started thinking.. "since I'm here, I wanna get the Leeroy achievement :D" I looked up how to do that, and found out that I needed a key to get into UBRS, which I would have to get doing LBRS. >< So I decided to solo LBRS :D
LBRS was fun! Never been there before. I got hopelessly lost in there for a while, but eventually found my way through, though it took me a little while. Probably the most annoying thing was the poison debuff I got from the spider boss, which would not go away (immobilised me randomly for 10 seconds at a time).. I found out I had to go to an npc in Burning Steppes who would "milk" me o_O to get rid of it. Then I headed over to Dustwallow Marsh and finished off the quest chain to get the UBRS key. :D While I was over in Kalimdor, I decided to finish off a quest I got from an object that dropped off the world dragon in Duskwood which I killed with Verd a while ago. The quest text said to find a druid in Cenarion Hold or Moonglade.. it was only after I headed over to Cenarion Hold that I found out the npc I had to turn it in to was in Moonglade. >< Why put Cenarion Hold in the quest text at all?? beh. Anyways I got 2000 rep with Cenarion Circle after I turned it in. ^_^
Oculus tomorrow, hopefully - depends on shutdown time. I would really like to get my Wispcloak before Naxx on Wednesday...

I haven't logged onto WoW for the last three days, because I have been making a Panacea costume. :P It was for a party I went to on Saturday night that had a "games" theme. I made the costume for very cheap and over a very short period of time, so it turned out a bit crappy and I didn't have enough time to include all the details I wanted. My frozen shadoweave shoulders turned out particularly bad, lol xD But I had lots of (drunken) fun! And I also won the party's costume competition. ^_^

Meet Pantsnake! He's a warrior I created today, currently level 7. :D I'm not going to be seriously playing this character.. I was just kinda curious about what playing a warrior is like, since it's the one class I've never tried before. Also, I'm getting a little intrigued by tanking.. and I love the way male night elf warriors look when they're tanking. They go insane. xD But yeh.. not going to be seriously levelling this toon for a while at least, not while I have so many plans for Panadoll & Panacea. It's just a fun character to play if I start getting burnt out/repeatedly ganked or camped. I've never managed to get a male character higher than level 10 so it should be interesting anyways. :)
Playing a warrior meanwhile is more fun than I expected. It takes a lot less time to get through the mobs.. and I am wonderfully un-squishy. Makes a nice change. :)

Panacea is now level 61. I got a lot of Hellfire quests out of the way today (I'm getting through them a lot faster this time around, since I've done them all before) but mostly today I've been reading up on shadowpriest stuff. I found this awesome priest loot list telling me all the loots I should be looking out for in Outland zones and instances. Very helpful. I've also been experimenting with macros. Until now the only macros I've used are for emoting at people.. really simple stuff. But I wanted a macro to cast Inner Focus before Mind Blast, and to pop my trinkets when they're up (cos I just forget about my trinkets otherwise :P). I found a couple of macros and edited them to suit me. The result is this:
#show Mind Blast
/stopcasting
/cast [modifier:shift] Inner Focus
/stopcasting
/use Vengeance of the Illidari
/stopcasting
/use Chained Essence of Eranikus
/stopcasting
/cast Mind Blast
Now when I shift-click Mind Blast it will cast Inner Focus first (I have IF on my bars so I can tell when it's up) and then pop my trinkets if they're up (which it will also do if I just click Mind Blast). It works really well (I get error messages if the trinkets are on cooldown - that doesn't really bother me), but it will take a little getting used to because I don't actually click my abilities, I have my rotation keybound A-J, and Mind Blast is G, which is a little far away from shift for my liking... I tried to change the modifier to T, but it doesn't like that for some reason (T is not bound to anything else, so I don't know what the problem is). But I'm sure I'll get used to the fancy fingerwork in time. :P
Hellfire continues to astound me with its high population of nubs. Today someone asked in general if there were any hot chicks around, because they were a "hot chick looking for other chicks". A stupid conversation ensued with a very confused 11 year old boy. I meant to screenshot it but forgot. :P Have this other stupid Hellfire general conversation instead ~

In other news, I was very excited for Yuge today who finally got the shield in BT he's been after. Grats Yuge! :D

Gonna keep grinding away at these quests (are there more quests in Hellfire than any other Outlands zone??) and maybe try PuGging another Ramps tomorrow night... keh.

Panacea finally got her ram mount! :D I can't believe I ever thought I could get this thing by level 30. :P It took a damn lot of runecloth to get it.. so glad I had heaps of stacks stored on Panadoll's bank alt Pahnk, but I still had to buy a lot of it. I love the noise its hooves make! Its name is Umbra. ^__^
Of course most of the time it looks more like this ~

A couple random pics.. Panacea met her almost-clone in Searing Gorge. We did an escort quest together. :)

..and then she went and did the Saving Sharpbeak quest. I love this quest! It always makes me a little teary when Sharpbeak is reunited with his parents. :3

My friend, who I sent a trial key to recently (in order to get funky zhevra mount), has installed a retail copy of the game and created a toon on my server yesterday. :D His warlock's name is Pinkdrink - a female gnome with pink pigtails, like Yuge. Yuge and I both (seperately) went to meet him in the Dun Morogh starting area to show off our mounts and a whole heap of emotes. :P Later on I met up with him (he had moved on to Kharanos) to give him some gifts.. four netherweave bags and 50g. I'm not sure if he really appreciated the value of the bags and the gold, but I like helping out. :) I also later sent him a few low level crafted items - warlock appropriate tailored stuff and a couple of wands. He seems to be liking the game so far. He's used to playing EVE Online, so although he's familiar with MMORPGs, WoW is all new to him.. I've been giving him a lot of advice. I sort of can't wait to run him through VC. :3 I also can't wait for my zhevra mount! He will have to pay for 2 months of subscription time before I get it.. but I have sent him a 60 day prepaid card so it should happen soon. :)

I got an opportunity yesterday to take Panadoll through Caverns of Time - Durnholde and Black Morass. I was really nervous, because two of the best holy priests in Twelve, Lutzi (on his lock alt Fuzo) and Konstantine (on her druid alt Bahedrin) were in the group. So much pressure not to do anything stupid! >< Yuge tanked for us. We were all on Vent, which was interesting.. I haven't been on Vent in a 5-man before. It was pretty relaxed. :) Durnholde went well, but afterwards I discovered I hadn't talked to Thrall in the dungeon, and therefore didn't complete the quest chain to allow access to Black Morass. So embarrassing. >< Yuge, Lutzi and Konstantine were fine to go do Durnholde again but the mage (Magpie, also in Twelve) sounded kinda pissed off and said he had to leave, so we found a random rogue to join us.
Waiting outside Durnholde the second time around, with Yuge :P ~

( screenshot from Durnholde )
The second time around went well also. It was a little difficult trying to keep an eye on healing Thrall as well as the others, but nothing I couldn't manage. Black Morass was something different altogether. Afterwards I said to Yuge "Why did nobody WARN me??" It was crazy. Constant running & chain pulling, constant need for heals and dispelling - on both the tank and druid off-tank. Lucky I brought lots of pots too cos I had mana issues a couple of times, even with innervates. But nobody died, so I think I did pretty well. :) And I think it was probably good practise for raid healing. I can't imagine what that instance must be like on heroic though. ><
In other news, Panadoll has finally started the artisan fishing quest. :P Gah I hate this quest so much. It's so boring.. and while I'm fishing I'm always standing there wondering how much gold I could be making if I was spending the time doing dailies. :P It shall be worth it when I can do fishing dailies though. :)

And to finish off this very long entry.. here are a couple of screenshots of Panacea being silly with random people.. ( clicky )

:P in other news...
Yuge tanked n Steamvaults for me tonight, so I could get the other bit of my Kara key. Our group was a bit overgeared so it went pretty fast. There was a (very vocal) holy pally in the group, who kinda off-healed.. it puts me off when there's another healer in the group. :P I worry more about doing stupid stuff and overhealing. The whole group talked a lot during the run which also put me off a bit. I made a few mistakes.. like on the first boss, I concentrated too much on Healbot rather than the AoE, and died. On the last boss I didn't get a heal out quick enough to Yuge and we wiped. I'm not sure if it was entirely my fault or whether there were other factors involved, but I felt pretty bad about it. Meanwhile, I hate having a warlock in the party, lol. >< The way they nibble away at their health makes me nervous, and causes me to sometimes panic if their health seems to be getting too low when I need to be concentrating on people actually with aggro. I wish Prayer of Mending dinged off them when they nibbled at their health.. they're more of a PoM black hole than I am. :P
( screenie from SV )
Panacea is coming along well, she's recently dinged level 35, and has just moved on to Dustwallow Marsh. I like the quests there.. there's heaps of them around the same level all concentrated in the one area, and it's much easier to do them now with a mount. Should be getting up to 40 in no time. :)

About 45 minutes ago someone in Twelve said they had a friend who was going to be on The Einstein Factor tonight answering WoW questions as his "specialty area". So we watched it. The guy was pretty good.. the WoW questions came at him really rapidly and some were difficult to answer immediately (like the question "how many playable classes are there?" to which he answered 7 - there's 9. I would have had to think about that for a second ><). I was actually a little surprised about the kind of questions they asked, as he had said at the beginning his specialty was the lore. There weren't really any lore questions asked. One question was "what is the name of the device, used by hunters, that shoots arrows?" Guild chat erupted with "LOL BOW" as the guy answered "bow?" with an amused/disgusted expression. xD He won in the end. :D
Panadoll had a productive day (for once). :) Yuge managed to get me into a group who had just finished heroic slabs so I could run in there and grab the Kara key fragment. Gah I have run slabs before multiple times but for some reason never picked up the stupid key fragment. >< It was my first time in a heroic instance, not that we actually fought anything in there besides the thing that I had to loot the key frag from. :P
( a couple of screenies )
After that, Yuge and I got a group toegther for n Arcatraz. :D We both have the Arc key now. I needed to go there to get the next bit of my Kara key.. I had a quest to kill the final boss too I think.
( adventures inside arc )
I'm thinking some Caverns of Time instances will be next on the agenda for Panadoll. :) As well as Steam Vaults for the next bit of the Kara key.

Today this guy was posting periodically in trade saying something like "L--- is a thief. Said he would do an enchant and stole my mats." After a while people started picking on him for "spamming" (he wasn't spamming imo - he was posting the same message every five or ten minutes) and he said "Look, I'm just frustrated and angry ok, I'm venting here to let people know what happened. New people join the channel all the time." I felt sorry for the guy, so I randomly sent him 5 greater planar essences (I have heaps of them right now). Just now I logged in to find them returned to me, and this message ~

I'm glad he managed to get his enchant! That would seriously suck if someone just ran off with your mats.. those high level enchanting mats are so expensive.

I was running around Loch Modan levelling Panacea when suddenly Leokadia randomly ran past me (she's currently level 42). Although I know her in real life I haven't seen her for ages, and I hadn't spoken to her in game either (I only recently found out she played). I was really surprised to see her and /waved and let her know who I was. She seemed really happy to see me. :) We only spoke briefly but it was a nice little moment. ^_^
